Parallel Thought, consisting of production duo Drum and Knowledge and emcee/producer Caness, has been recording and releasing music for the past decade. While still in high school, the group produced and recorded tracks for their debut EP, " Drugs Liquor Sex & Ciggarettes" which featured notable underground artists such as Slug (Atmosphere) and Jean Grae. Their next release was the 12" 'Vomit' which would feature the cult craved MF DOOM. Shortly after they produced their first full length album with one of hip-hop's most creative lyricists C-Rayz-Walz. It also happens to have the biggest posse cut in Hip-Hop history featuring 30 mc's rhyming for over 15 minutes. In 2007 Parallel Thought teamed up with the legendary Tame One of the Artifacts. After signing a two album deal with Amalgam Digital they released "Da Ol' Jersey Bastard" and "Acid Tab Vocab". The recording of these two projects eventually led to the crew producing the entire LP for the historical collaboration of Tame One and Del the Funky Homosapien on "Parallel Uni-Verse". The much anticipated album was released in Fall 2009 on Gold Dust/!K7. Since it has been critically lauded as part ode to and part critical commentary of classic hip-hop music, receiving praise from Billboard, Wax Poetics, Spin, Time Out NY, SF Weekly, Vice, Okayplayer and many more.
