Born and raised in a small town in Southern Italy, Cesca spent her teen years trying to figure out where she would fit in. She found her escape in music, searching for anything quality she could get her hands on. Her influences ranged from Velvet Underground to Gangstarr which made her somewhat of an anomaly in her town. Wanting to break away from the small town life, she moved to Rome to study languages, and began collecting records.
What started as a hobby quickly turned into her main source of interest. Female producers and dj's in Italy are far and few, so she quickly turned heads when her beat tapes started circulating clubs in Rome. After a few years sampling and producing music in her bedroom, she met Ricci Rucker in 2003 to collaborate on 2 songs, which ended up becoming her first 7" vinyl release entitled Hymn. Quickly selling out a limited release, things became more real.
She won 1st place in the Diesel Clothing Music contest, which the prior year, Madlib and Prefuse 73 took the same honors. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2005 to further engage in her music career, and has since then released 2 more projects on iTunes entitled Instrumentals which features 9 hip hop tracks reminiscent to the golden era of hip hop, and The Lost Sticks EP which introduces her presence as an indie rock artist, the strongest release to date, which seems to be the direction she's taking her music presently. Since then, she's created a buzz within small music circles, and much more is to be explored.
